TikTok money calculator

There are two completely different ways TikTok makes you money, and they pay wildly different amounts. Views pay pennies. Brand deals pay real money. Here is the honest version of both.

The comparison nobody shows you

100,000 views, two ways

For a creator with 25,000 followers at TikTok-average engagement. Same audience, same month.

Creator Rewards, 100k qualified views

$40 – $100

Based on commonly reported payouts of roughly $0.40–$1.00 per 1,000 qualified views. TikTok publishes no official rate, and not all of your views qualify — so the real figure against total views is usually lower.

One sponsored video

$300 – $470

Calculated from published creator-economy benchmarks at this audience size and engagement rate — the same math the calculator below runs.

That gap is the entire argument for learning to negotiate. Views are the thing you already earned; the deal is the thing you can change by asking.

Why we will not give you an exact per-view number

Every "TikTok money calculator" that hands you a precise dollar figure for your views is guessing, and most of them are guessing in order to rank. TikTok has never published a per-view rate. What actually exists is a payout that moves with where your viewers are, what you post about, how long people watch, the time of year, and how much of your catalogue is even eligible.

So the honest answer is a wide range, and a strong recommendation: check the numbers against your own account. TikTok shows your actual earnings in the app, and its help centre has the current eligibility rules — which change, and differ by country. That is the only source that settles it.

What we do know, and how well

Reliable: brand-deal rates. They come from published, widely used industry benchmarks, and the calculator on this page shows its full working — base rate, engagement multiplier, niche multiplier — so you can check it rather than trust it.

Unreliable: per-view payout figures, including ours. They are community-reported, unverifiable, and vary by a factor of several between creators. Ours is presented as a range on purpose.

Where creator money actually comes from

  • Brand sponsorships — for most working creators, the majority of income. Negotiable, which means the number you accept is partly up to you.
  • Creator Rewards — a floor, not a salary. Useful, rarely enough on its own.
  • Affiliate and TikTok Shop — commission on what your audience buys. Scales with how much your audience trusts you rather than how many follow you.
  • Gifts and LIVE — real money for creators who go live consistently, negligible for everyone else.
  • Your own product — the highest margin and the most work.

The first one is the only line on that list where a single conversation can change the number by hundreds of dollars. That is where the leverage is.

Questions

TikTok earnings questions

How much does TikTok pay per view?

TikTok does not publish an official per-view rate, so any exact figure you see is an estimate. Creators in the Creator Rewards Program commonly report somewhere in the region of $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views, with US audiences at the higher end and some markets well below. Qualified views are a subset of your total views, so earnings against raw view count are lower again.

How much is 1 million views worth on TikTok?

On Creator Rewards alone, commonly reported figures put 1 million qualified views somewhere in the hundreds of dollars rather than the thousands — and not all of your views qualify. A single brand deal at that audience size is usually worth considerably more than the view payout, which is why most full-time creators earn the majority of their income from sponsorships.

Why do my TikTok earnings differ so much from a calculator?

Because the inputs vary far more than the calculators admit. Payouts move with which countries your viewers are in, your niche, how long people actually watch, the time of year, and how much of your catalogue is eligible at all. Treat any view-based estimate as a wide range, not a number.

Do brand deals pay more than TikTok itself?

For most creators, yes, by a wide margin. View payouts scale with views; sponsorship rates scale with audience size and engagement, and a single video can be worth more than a month of view earnings. That gap is the reason creators negotiate.

What counts as a qualified view?

TikTok applies conditions before a view earns anything — the video generally has to be over a minute long and original, and some view types are excluded. The rules change and differ by region, so check TikTok's own Creator Rewards help pages for the current requirements rather than relying on a third-party summary, including this one.

Do I need 10,000 followers to make money on TikTok?

For TikTok's own monetization programs there are follower and view thresholds that change over time — check TikTok's help centre for the current ones. Brand deals have no threshold at all. Small accounts with engaged, specific audiences get paid, and nano-creators are actively sought by brands in niches like fitness, finance and beauty.
